The stock market continued to decline on Monday. Accordingly, the NEPSE, which fell by about 26.5 points on Sunday, fell by 4.28 points on Monday. After a decrease of 0.16 percent compared to the previous day, the overall NEPSE closed at 2,645.24 points.

Of the companies traded on Monday, 224 increased their share prices, 126 decreased their share prices, and 8 remained unchanged. As the number of companies that decreased their share prices on this day was higher than the increase, the overall NEPSE fell by about 4.25 points. 

A total of 1860,828 shares were traded on Monday in 60,620 share transactions. A total of 4.71 billion 63 million rupees were traded in those transactions.

The trading amount also decreased compared to the previous day. A total of 7.85 billion rupees were traded in the stock market on Sunday. 

Of the 13 subgroups traded on Monday, the indices of banking, investment, hotels and tourism, life insurance, mutual funds, others, and trade decreased. The indices of the remaining subgroups increased moderately.
