Manaslu Conservation Area (MCAP) Chief Santosh Sherchan said that 142 Nepali tourists have also visited the Manaslu region this year after obtaining permission.
The number of Nepali tourists visiting the Manaslu region has also increased in recent times. MCAP has been keeping records of only foreign tourists. According to MCAP data, 76 people visited the Manaslu region in Shrawan, 779 in Bhadau and 3,442 in Asoj.
In the last fiscal year 2081/082, 12,512 people visited Manaslu. ‘The number of people visiting the Manaslu region is increasing compared to last year,’ said Sherchan. ‘Since the road network has not been expanded, it has been the choice of trekking tourists.’
The Manaslu region, which used to be a restricted area, has been the choice of adventure trekkers and nature-loving tourists since the government opened it for tourism in 1995. Sherchan said that the number of tourists in the Manaslu region is increasing every year due to its beautiful biodiversity and natural landscape.
Tourists who come here also visit Chum and Nubri Valleys and Larke Pass. The geographical location of the northern region, mountain ranges, cultural monasteries and monasteries have also been the choice of tourists. March, April and May and October and November are considered the best times to visit the Manaslu Conservation Area.
