Tea worth 1.373 billion 77 million rupees has been exported from the eastern border post of Kakadbhitta in the first quarter of the current fiscal year.
According to Ishwar Kumar Humagain, Information Officer of Mechi Customs Office, 46,88,932 kilograms of tea were exported to India during the review period. This is 37 percent less than the same period last fiscal year.
During the same period last fiscal year, tea worth Rs 2.2 billion 48.4 million was exported. This is Rs 831.7 million 62 thousand less than the current fiscal year.
