Sixteen people have applied for the post of General Manager of Nepal Airlines Corporation. Pilots, engineers, managers, and others have submitted their applications to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.
According to the ministry, the applicants include pilots Dipuraj Juarchan, Ved Prakash Upreti, aeronautical engineers Deepak Prasad Bastola, and Abhinav Karki. Similarly, ATC Satya Kumar Basnet and Sanjay Kumar, both working at the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, have also applied for the post of General Manager. Applications have also been received from outside the corporation and the authority by Bhim Bahadur Chand, Bishnu Babu Mishra, Chiranjeevi Upadhyay, Upendra Bahadur Karki, Prakash Chandra Adhikari, Yograj Kandel, Ashish Thapa, Radhunath Bidari, Tankanidhi Dahal, and Suman Bhattarai.

Acting Prime Minister Karki has appointed Bikram Rai, Vice Chairman of the Corporation's Board of Directors, as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Amritman Shrestha, a member of the Board of Directors, as the General Manager. The newly appointed Shrestha is the 44th General Manager of the Corporation until further notice.
