The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index, which measures share trading, has increased by 10.43 points. The NEPSE's growth has continued for the fifth trading day. It has risen by 0.39 percent to 2,676.03 points.
A total of 131 companies' share prices increased, 121 companies' prices decreased, and 6 companies' prices remained stable. A total of 86,170 shares were traded for a value of Rs 6.6623 billion.
The trading volume also decreased on Thursday compared to Wednesday. A value of Rs 6.6929 billion was traded on Wednesday. According to NEPSE, 14.693807 shares were traded.
Out of the total 13 subgroups, all increased except the finance, manufacturing and processing, microfinance, other and trade subgroups. The subgroups that increased were banking, hotel and tourism, life insurance, non-life insurance, development banks, investment, and collective investment funds.
The circuit break occurred after the share price of Sagar Distillery increased by 10 percent. The share prices of Swastik Laghubitta, Jhapa Energy and Srinagar Agritech Industries have increased by 9.99 percent. The share price of NRN Infrastructure and Development has increased by 9.62 percent. The share price of Him Star Energy Company and First Micro Finance Laghubitta has decreased by 7.78 percent. The share price of Mahuli Laghubitta has decreased by 4.16 percent, Joshi Hydropower by 3.61 percent, and Nepal SBI Bank Debenture (2083) by 3.02 percent. The share price of NRN Infrastructure and Development, Ngadi Group Power, Himalayan Reinsurance, CEDB Holdings and United Modi Hydropower have remained ahead in terms of turnover. Shares worth Rs 401.7 million of NRN Infrastructure and Development, Rs 163.6 million of Ngadi Group Power, Rs 159.7 million of Himalayan Reinsurance, Rs 157.8 million of CEDB Holdings, and Rs 145 million of United Modi Hydropower were traded.
