The growth rate of the NEPSE, which had increased by high points in the previous two trading days, slowed down on Tuesday. On Tuesday, the NEPSE increased by 5.32 points. However, this growth rate is lower than that of Sunday and Monday. On Sunday, the NEPSE increased by about 40 points and on Monday, it increased by about 50 points. The NEPSE, which had increased by high points for two days, underwent a 'correction' throughout the day on Tuesday and increased by a modest number in the final hours.
The NEPSE rose by 0.20 percent on Tuesday compared to Monday, and the overall NEPSE closed at 2,655.99 points. Out of the 13 sub-groups traded on that day, the share prices of 122 companies increased, the prices of 125 companies decreased, and the prices of 10 companies remained unchanged.
Although the number of companies that decreased more than increased their share prices, the overall NEPSE turned positive by five points as the share prices of some companies increased by high points. On that day, 19,76,780 shares were bought and sold in a total of 12,642 share transactions. Shares worth Rs 5.823 billion were traded in those transactions. The share trading amount decreased compared to Monday. Shares worth Rs 7.354 billion were traded on Monday.
Out of the 13 sub-groups traded on that day, the overall NEPSE increased as the indices of all sub-groups except for development banks, life insurance, collective investment funds, and trade increased.
After the share price of Jhapa Energy increased by 10 percent, trading was controlled through a circuit breaker. Similarly, the share prices of Sagar Distillery, Srinagar Agritech, Swastik Laghubitta and Bandipur Cable Car have also increased by high points. However, the share price of Joshi Hydropower has decreased by the most by 4.96 percent. In terms of trading volume, Bandipur Cable Car is at the top on Tuesday. Shares of this company worth Rs 269.997 crore have been traded.
