Nepal has received a 'BB minus' rating in the sovereign credit rating this year as well. This is the same as last year. It received a 'BB minus' rating for the first time on 7 Mangsir 2081.

The second year of receiving the same rating shows that the investment climate in the country is the same as last year. Fitch, an international agency known worldwide for sovereign credit ratings, is conducting the ‘rating’ of Nepal.

The Nepalese government had already selected this company for two years of evaluation and technical assistance in the third year. The company has been rated for the second year under the same conditions.

In recent months, despite political instability in the country, low credit growth, and accumulation of loanable funds in banks, the fact that the same rating as last year confirms that Nepal’s investment climate among investors has not deteriorated further, according to officials from the Ministry of Finance.
