Air hostesses working at Nepal Airlines submitted a memorandum to the management on Friday, demanding that the retirement age be at least 50 years.

The Nepal Airlines Cabin Crew Association (NACA) has been raising the issue of the 50-year retirement age limit being clarified by the Supreme Court and the Labor Court and the non-implementation of the 50-year provision of the employee regulations.

In the same vein, NACA, a professional organization of all air hostesses (cabin crew) working in the corporation, on Friday gave three-point suggestions to the corporation's management.

A team led by NACA President Prajita Karki met the corporation's newly appointed Acting General Manager Janakraj Kalakheti and submitted a memorandum. It states that cabin crew members are being discriminated against and unfairly treated in terms of services, facilities, and retirement age compared to other employees.

NACA had stated that they are ready to help in preventing irregularities within the corporation, ending the opacity and corruption in engine maintenance and rental payments.

While receiving the memorandum, Acting General Manager Kalakheti expressed his determination to take every possible initiative to fulfill the NACA's suggestions as they are justified.

Calling the cabin crew as the corporation's 'brand ambassadors', Kalakheti said that the better they do, the better the organization will benefit. In the process, Kalakheti was also congratulated and congratulated for her success.

CCAN, established for the professional rights, interests, and development of air hostesses, was recently reorganized under the chairmanship of Prajita Karki.
