Triveni Synthetic Yarn Industries has paid the first installment of the additional premium amount for consuming electricity through dedicated and trunk lines. Triveni has paid the first installment of the premium fee for using dedicated and trunk lines from 2072 Magh to 2075 Baisakh.
Triveni Synthetic Yarn Industries has an arrears of Rs 44 million. The Nepal Electricity Authority has stated that the arrears have been divided into 28 installments and the first installment has been paid. On Thursday itself, Reliance Spinning Mills has paid Rs 27.7 million as the first installment, the authority said. Reliance has an arrears of Rs 75.37 million.
Along with this, electricity is still not connected to 11 industries due to additional premiums for consuming electricity through dedicated and trunk lines. The authority had shut down the electricity supply to 23 industries on Kartik 4 and Kartik 7. Of these, electricity is still disconnected to 11 industries. Out of the total 25 industries that had to pay the arrears, two industries had already closed.
According to the authority, the lines were connected after Gharana Foods and Goenka Foods paid the first installment in the middle of Tihar. Since then, the authority has stated that the lines of the disconnected industries have been reconnected after 4 industries paid the installments on Monday, 3 on Tuesday, 1 on Wednesday, and 2 more industries on Thursday.
