NEPSE rises by double digits after two days, but trading volume decreases

NEPSE rises by double digits after two days, but trading volume decreases

The NEPSE index, which had been falling for the previous two days, rose by double digits on Wednesday. The NEPSE, which had fallen by 8.24 points on Monday and 27.64 points on Tuesday, rose by 12.17 points on Wednesday. The overall NEPSE closed at 2,607.42 points, up 0.46 percent from the previous day.

Of the 149 companies that traded on the day, 90 rose in share prices. The share prices of 12 companies remained stable. As more companies rose in share prices than fell, the overall NEPSE rose by double digits on Wednesday.

9,218,810 shares were traded in 42,879 transactions on Wednesday. Shares worth Rs 4.68 billion 19 million were traded in those transactions. The transaction amount decreased compared to the previous day. Shares worth Rs 5.15 billion 7 million were traded on Tuesday.

Out of the 13 subgroups that traded on Wednesday, all indices except hotels and tourism and mutual funds increased, leading to the overall NEPSE increase in double digits. However, the index of the hotels and tourism subgroup decreased by 0.45 percent and that of mutual funds decreased by 0.05 percent on the day.

The share price of Mabilung Energy, which started trading on Tuesday, increased by 10 percent and trading was controlled through a circuit breaker. The share price of this company is Rs 384 per share as of the market close on Wednesday. The share price of First Microfinance Company fell by 7.48 percent on this day. The company was traded at Rs 878 per share, according to Nepse. 

Union Hydro's shares were traded the most on Wednesday. Shares worth Rs 386.1 million were traded in this company. On Wednesday, the size of the stock market, the total market capitalization, expanded by about Rs 21 billion. The total market capitalization, which was Rs 4.339 billion on Tuesday, increased to Rs 4.360 billion on Wednesday. With this, the value of investors' assets has increased by about Rs 21 billion, it has been analyzed.
