The number of domestic tourists visiting the tourist destination of Panch Pokhari in Sindhupalchowk district is increasing.
According to the information provided by Bhotang Post Sindhupalchowk under Helambu Sector, a total of 6,235 tourists, including 6,191 domestic tourists and 44 foreign tourists, have entered the country from the last Shrawan (financial year) to Kartik 13, the post has stated.
In the last Shrawan (financial year) till Kartik 13, 1,115 domestic tourists, 859 in Bhadra, similarly, 2,46 in Ashoj, and 1,771 domestic tourists have gone for trekking till Kartik 13, while 16 tourists from SAARC countries and 28 from other countries have arrived, the post has stated.
According to Ganesh Prasad Tiwari, Information and Conservation Officer of Langtang National Park, if the trekking route to Panch Pokhari can be managed, more tourists can be brought in. 'Mainly in Panch Pokhari, we will promote nature-based (natural base) tourism business.' If people try to build any physical structure in a way that disrupts natural heritage, it can overshadow the natural beauty,' he said, 'Since tourists have only recently started recognizing Panch Pokhari, improvement and management of the trail (path) seems to be the main issue.' Tiwari said that many things need to be improved on the trail to Panch Pokhari and everyone has a hand in making it better. Toilets, hotels, roads, rest areas, electricity, communication, many things need to be built,' he said, 'The park, local municipalities, and government bodies should coordinate and develop the area. It is a matter of improvement and taking initiatives.'

Panch Pokhari was included in the 16th place of tourist destinations in Visit Nepal 2020. From Panch Pokhari, you can view the mountain ranges including Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, Jugal Himal, etc.
For trekking, you can reach Panch Pokhari via Chimti, Deurali, Tuppidanda, Topkharka, Norsingpati, Sat Ghumti, and Lauribina Ukali. Panch Pokhari is also known by different names such as Bhairav Kund, Saraswati Kund, Ganesh Kund, Surya Kund, and Nag Kund.
