Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal has given instructions to make revenue leakage control effective. Finance Minister Khanal gave the instructions at the meeting of the Central Revenue Leakage Control Committee on Thursday.
The meeting was informed by Uttar Kumar Khatri, Chief of the Revenue Management Division, Ministry of Finance, about the current status of the revenue system. In the meeting, it was decided to organize a coordination meeting at the district level to control revenue leakage, to make collective efforts of all to control revenue leakage, and to exchange information between all bodies.
Similarly, Finance Minister Khanal has directed to organize awareness programs at the district level, to hold upcoming meetings of the committee in other offices/bodies, and to make arrangements to connect the offices involved in controlling leakage at the district level online and hold them jointly.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Home Secretary, Finance Secretary, Inspector General-Nepal Police, Inspector General-Armed Police Force Nepal, Chief Investigation Director-National Investigation Department, Director General-Exchange Department, Director General-Internal Revenue Department, Director General-Revenue Investigation Department, Director General-Money Laundering Investigation Department, and others.
