The decline in the NEPSE continued on Thursday as well. The NEPSE, which closed down 22.58 points on Wednesday, fell by 18.40 points on Thursday.

The overall NEPSE closed at 2,487.17 points after falling by 0.73 percent compared to the previous day. Of the 45 companies that traded on the day, 197 companies increased their share prices, while 9 companies remained unchanged. In this way, the overall NEPSE fell by double digits as more companies saw their share prices decline than increase.

On Thursday, 7,643,635 shares were traded in 36,531 transactions. Shares worth Rs 3.27 billion were traded in those transactions.

On Wednesday, 7,611,660 shares were traded in 35,750 transactions. Shares worth Rs 3.10 billion were traded in those transactions.

Of the 13 subgroups that traded on that day, the indices of the banking and mutual fund subgroups increased by modest points. The overall NEPSE saw a double-digit decline after the indices of all the remaining subgroups declined.
