With the aim of producing and developing skilled technical manpower required for the industry and business sectors, collaboration will be established between the Morang Industry Organization and the INSURANCE Project, NVQS, and Quality Project run under the Swiss government.

An agreement was signed with all three projects on Thursday to collaborate in the field of technical education and training for the next one year.

According to the agreement, activities such as industrial trainee training, skill upgrading training for human resources working in the industry, human resource management, promotion of occupational health and safety, pre-learning accreditation system, skill festival, Business at School, carbon footprint assessment, and practical classes for training instructors will be conducted in collaboration with training-providing educational institutions and industrial establishments.

Similarly, a commitment has been expressed to promote continuous coordination and collaboration between the private sector, training providers, and the concerned bodies of the Government of Nepal and to help create a conducive environment for the production of technical manpower.

Nandakishore Rathi, President of the organization, expressed his belief that the collaboration will facilitate the development of the necessary technical manpower for the industries. He said that collaboration between the private sector and development partners will help in making the relationship between industry and training providers practical for producing skilled manpower that addresses the current needs of the industry.

Chairman Rathi mentioned that there is a shortage of skilled manpower with the necessary technical skills in industrial establishments. Expressing his belief that this collaboration will have a long-term impact in filling this shortage, he also said that the goal of providing employment opportunities to technically trained individuals and increasing the productivity of the industry will be moved forward.

The agreement, signed with the aim of producing technical manpower in coordination with training providers and relevant stakeholders, was signed by Nandakishore Rathi, Chairman of the Industry Organization Morang, and Rabindra Bahadur Singh, Team Leader of the Insure Helvetas Project, Bhanu Pandit of the Quality Project, and Anand Poudel of NVQS.

Two other projects of the Swiss government have also collaborated in the skill development program that the organization has been running for the past 5 years in collaboration with the Insure Project.

The signing ceremony was attended by the organization's Vice President Surendra Golchha, Human Resources Development Committee Coordinator Deepak Agrawal, and representatives from the Ensure Project, NVQS, and Quality Project.
