3 trillion 52 billion 8 million rupees have been received through remittances in the last month of July and August alone. Compared to the same period of the last financial year, remittances have increased by 33.1 percent in the two months of the current financial year.

Remittance inflow increased by 15.8 percent in the first two months of last financial year. 

Similarly, in the month of August 2082, only 1 trillion 74 billion 67 million rupees of remittances have been received, according to the Rastra Bank. In the month of August of the last financial year, remittances of 1 trillion 27 billion 99 crore rupees were received. 

Remittance inflow in US dollars increased by 27.6 percent during the review period and reached 2.52 billion rupees. Last year, such flow increased by 14.2 percent. 

In the two months of the current financial year, the number of Nepalese who took the final work permit (institutional and individual-new) for foreign employment is 90 thousand 198 and the number of those who took the work permit again is 45 thousand 884. During the same period last year, such numbers were 76 thousand 485 and 40 thousand 583 respectively.
