VIP room closed at Tumlingtar Airport

After the Gen-G movement, Tumlingtar Airport has closed the VIP room to provide equal facilities to the passengers. The airport administration had been saying that the security of the airport was a challenge due to the crowding of the VIP room in the name of specific persons.

Especially the leaders of the political parties used to come to the VIP room and their supporters also entered the VIP room shouting slogans and making noise. The leaders of the political parties were self-proclaimed as VIPs and used to enter and return from the same room. However, ordinary passengers were forced to go back and forth from the ordinary passenger compartment and wait for their 'luggage'.

Nepal Civil Aviation Office Tumlingtar Airport Administration has closed the entry from the VIP room. Buddha Air's 72  Seated aircraft has been flying Kathmandu-Tumlingtar-Kathmandu daily. According to Navraj Dahal, the head of the airport, after the Genji demonstration, the airport administration has stopped the unnecessary use of the VIP room.

After the closure of the VIP room, everyone has to travel like ordinary passengers. Two to three hundred people used to come to pick up one person, due to which the airport was overcrowded. It used to happen, which was also inappropriate from the point of view of security,' he said, 'After the Genji movement, it was seen that there was a lot of negative perception towards political parties, because of that, the VIP room of the airport has been closed now.'
