The downward journey of the stock market continued on Sunday, the first day of weekly trading. NEPSE, which increased by 22 points last Thursday and closed at 2,582 points, decreased by 78.83 points on Sunday. After decreasing by 3.05 percent compared to the previous day, the overall NEPSE closed at 2,535 points.

Out of those that came into trading on that day, the share price of 9 companies increased while 142 companies decreased. In this way, the overall NEPSE decreased by a large number as there were more companies whose share prices decreased than increased.

On Sunday, 1 crore 43 lakh 64 thousand 682 shares were bought and sold in 67 thousand 202 transactions. Shares worth 6.7 billion 72 million rupees have been traded in those purchases. The transaction amount has increased compared to the previous day. Shares worth 5 billion 27 crore rupees were traded last Thursday. 

Out of the 13 sub-groups that were traded on that day, the index of all the sub-groups increased, and the overall NEPSE fell sharply.
