Nepal Rastra Bank has reduced the ATM transaction limit. According to Rastra Bank, the transaction limit has been reduced with the aim of discouraging cash transactions and encouraging online transactions.
According to the new system, when withdrawing money from an ATM, one can only withdraw up to 20,000 per day, 50,000 per day and 3 lakh per month. Earlier, there was a provision to withdraw up to 25,000 per day, 1 lakh per day and 4 lakh per month from the ATM.
Rastra Bank, which is encouraging electronic transactions, has reduced the transaction limit of ATMs from Friday.
