From January to September 2025, according to the data of the Tourism Board, most visitors came to Nepal from India, America, Australia, China and the UK.

The Nepal Tourism Board released the tourism data for September 2025 and said that 78 thousand 711 international visitors came to Nepal in that month.
This number has decreased by 18.3 percent compared to September 2024. However, in September 2019 i.e. compared to the number of visitors before the Covid-19 epidemic, the board has informed that there has been an 85 percent recovery.
During the nine months from January to September 2025, a total of 8 lakh 15 thousand 273 international tourists have come to Nepal.
Among the international visitors, the highest number of 15,556 (19.8%) came from India. Then there are 9,679 people from America (12.3%), 6,824 people from Australia (8.7%), 5,237 people from China (6.7%) and 4,981 people from Britain (6.3%).
In terms of region, the most 24 thousand 285 tourists (30.9%) came from the South Asian region (SAARC), followed by 16 thousand 597 (21.1%) from Europe, 12 thousand 590 (16%) from other Asian countries, 11 thousand 523 (14.6%) from the Americas, 7 thousand 314 (9.3%) from Oceania, 2 thousand 328 (3%), from Africa 344 (0.4%) and 3 thousand 730 from other regions. (4.17%) tourists have come to Nepal.
According to the Nepal Tourism Board, the tourism sector in Nepal is gradually improving, although the number of visitors has decreased due to seasonal rains, global economic fluctuations and some regional reasons.
