The company has said that it will resume the payment of claims for property damaged in the agitation from Tuesday, October 21. It is requested to contact the branch with the necessary documents.
Himalayan Everest Insurance has so far paid claims worth Rs 21 crore 74 lakh 45 thousand out of the property damaged during the protest on 23rd August and the demonstration on 24th. It is said that the amount has been paid for 245 out of 287 claims that have been insured in the company so far.
According to the
company, the amount is as an advance and final claim payment for the property damaged during the movement. Rozraj Luintel, Head of Claims Department informed that the company is committed to simple and easy claim payment within regulatory provisions.
According to him, the claim payment which is being done with high priority will be conducted again as usual from Tuesday, October 21st. Himalayan Everest Insurance said that keeping in mind the extreme situation, the claim process has been expedited to provide quick financial relief to the insured customers.
The company says that this effort aims to provide financial protection and relief to the insured in disaster. In addition, the company has also requested the insureds who have been insured and have pending payment of compensation claims to complete the necessary documents and contact the nearest branch or central office of the company they can find.
