According to the association, the area where they were lost is between Mera High Camp and Mera Peak, about 300 meters below the peak.
On the initiative of Nepal Mountaineering Association, High Altitude Guide Riten Tasi Sherpa and Ashish Gurung have left for Mera Peak area for rescue operation. Both of them are internationally recognized guides.
Taejung Park, a 46-year-old Korean citizen, and Sherpa guide Temba Sherpa have been missing since Saturday after the weather worsened.
The area where they were lost is between Mera High Camp and Mera Peak, about 300 meters below the peak.
They started their journey towards the peak for climbing Mera Peak at around 3 am on Saturday morning .
'Nepal Mountaineering Association has mobilized professional mountain guides for rescue operations . We extend our best wishes for the safety and success of the rescue team and hope for the safe rescue of the missing climbers and guides," said Phurba Galgen Sherpa, president of the association.
