Keeping in view the possible risk of heavy rains and flood-slides, the Nepal Electricity Authority has adopted high vigilance to protect electrical structures.

To prevent damage to the electrical structure and if the electricity service is interrupted, the staff has been kept in readiness to repair the line and restore it immediately.  According to Manoj Silwal, executive director of the

authority, there is a possibility of damage to substations, power generation houses, transmission lines and distribution structures during disasters, so necessary measures have been taken as a precaution.

'Since there is a possibility that the dam area of ​​the power plant will be flooded due to floods, three employees were assigned to operate the gate before,' he said, 'now it has been increased to six.' Tripal is covered around transmission line towers in landslide prone areas.

The authority said that if the electricity service is interrupted, the technical team will be deployed immediately for repairs.
