The Nepal Vegetable Ghee Oil Producers Association has supported Rs 50 lakh to rebuild the physical infrastructure damaged during the August 24 demonstration.

In an event held at the Ministry of Finance on Sunday, the president of the association  Vikas Dugad and outgoing president Sandeep Agarwal handed over the check for the assistance amount to Finance Minister Rameshwar Khanal. 

Chairman Dugad then said that he has supported the government's efforts in rebuilding the damaged structure. Every citizen has a responsibility in reconstruction. We believe that this kind of support will help in reconstruction," he said. Finance Minister Khanal said that the support given by the association will contribute significantly to speed up the reconstruction work.
