Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has said that peace and security is the first condition for revitalizing the business environment. He expressed this opinion while speaking at the opening program of automatic evaluation system for customs inspection passes at the Biratnagar Customs Office on Wednesday.

He said that the massive vandalism and arson incidents caused by infiltration during the Genji movement on August 23 and 24 caused unimaginable damage to government and private industry establishments and personal property and weakened the morale of common people and industrialists.

'After that incident, the morale of industrialists has weakened. Investment requires high morale. Peace and security are needed to boost morale,' Dhakal said, 'The desires of the youth such as control of corruption, good governance, creation of employment opportunities in the country, utilization of revenue are only possible due to the assurance of the right to engage in unhindered occupation and promotion of investment and employment, so it is necessary to create a suitable environment for this.'

President Dhakal said that when the government calls for resource collection for the reconstruction of damaged infrastructure after the Gen-G movement, corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds can be brought, but for that, there is a need to write off CSR funds.

President Dhakal said that the implementation of the automatic evaluation system in the customs inspection pass is positive and it will end the hassle of the paper process.
