Currently, with the help of the Swiss government, small irrigation programs, bridges, technical assistance in the Siddhababa tunnel, employment skills development training and other programs are being run.
A courtesy call was held between Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Physical Infrastructure and Transport and Urban Development Kulman Ghising and Swiss Ambassador to Nepal Daniel Meuli.
In a meeting at the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation at Singhdarbar, Ambassador Meuli congratulated Minister Ghising from Switzerland and wished him a successful tenure. In the
meeting, the implementation status of the current project with Swiss cooperation, possible areas of short-term and long-term cooperation, Swiss investment, bilateral cooperation and other issues were discussed. Thanking the Swiss government for the assistance provided for the development of Nepal, Minister Ghising said that the main priority of the government formed after the Gen-G movement is to instill hope in the youth by holding elections, rebuilding the public and government structures damaged due to the movement and maintaining good governance.
He asked for assistance in the necessary training for the promotion of electric vehicles, encouragement to use electricity as fuel for household purposes, imitation of the tunnel technology used by Switzerland in road transport in Nepal, promotion of green hydrogen energy, and the establishment of small industries.
