After the Rasuwagadhi and Tatopani crossings were blocked, preparations for Dasain and electric vehicles are being brought in from Mustang's Korla crossing.

Until Monday, 343 electric vehicles entered the Korla crossing. 230 of them have already passed the customs inspection. Out of 142 containers that arrived in Nepal with

prepared goods, 142 containers have been inspected. Ramesh Khadka, Customs Officer of Mustang Customs Office, said that 60 containers that went to China to get goods for Dasain are loaded and will arrive in Nepal in a few days.

This checkpoint has been operational since August 21. Containers from China bring goods to Lizhi in China. Then the container from Nepal loads the goods from there and brings them to Korala in Mustang. "Now ready clothes for Dasain have arrived," he said, "winter clothes, jackets and sweaters are also coming." "But there is a problem due to the lack of charging station," Khadka said, "Omoda has set up a charging station for JCO brand vehicles in Charang, while arrangements have been made for BYD vehicles to bring a generator from Pokhara and charge them." The customs office says that after the opening of the Utaka border crossing, this border crossing will be less frequent. Only Mustang drivers can go to China to get goods. "The border is in Korla, China's Liji is 500 meters away from here," Khadka said, "The customs office is in Nechung, which is at an altitude of 3,900 meters, and the Mustang driver charges 8,000 rupees to bring the container to the border."

"The businessmen tried to get the goods from Lhasa and Kerung through this checkpoint, there is a problem due to lack of good coordination with the Chinese side," Khadka said, "There is a problem because even the loaded vehicles are not sent on time." The customs office said that since this checkpoint came into operation, 61 million 24 million rupees have been collected. Khadka said that there is a problem that the containers that went to get goods from Nepal get stuck in the middle of stopping the start due to high altitude.

On June 24, the flood in Lhende river swept away the concrete bridge connecting Nepal-China, and the Rasuwagadhi crossing is closed. Tulsi Prasad Bhattarai, Chief Customs Officer of Rasuwa Customs Office, said that the road leading from Customs Office Timure to Rasuwagadhi checkpoint is still blocked. According to him, this checkpoint has not been operational since June 24.

"A lot of clothes and fruits used to come from China during Dasain-Tihar, most electric vehicles used to enter through Rasuwagadhi crossing," said Bhattarai, "A lot of revenue also used to be raised during Dasain-Tihar, now the crossing is closed, revenue collection is zero." He says that there is a problem due to the floods that keep coming to Lhende river from time to time. "The bridge will be built by Tihar," he said, "The Chinese side is coming to Nepal to build the bridge and the foundation work is starting." The target of revenue collection in July and August was 7 billion rupees. Nothing has happened in these two months. The target of revenue collection in October alone is 3.5 billion rupees. According to Chief Bhattarai, despite the regular opening of the border after the festival of the current financial year, the revenue collection will be 12 billion less than the total target set for the year.

Since last July 17, after the landslide in Kodari section under Arani highway, Tatopani crossing has not been operational. Tatopani Naka is deserted as Dasain approaches. Fruits such as apples are brought in along with preparations on Dasain through this gate.

During the festival, the number of containers is more than before. Chief Customs Officer of Tatopani Customs Office, Larcha, Rajendra Prasad Chudal said that the checkpoint will be started after the road is operational. "As soon as the road opens, we are preparing to send the empty containers to China instead of emptying the loaded containers to China," he said. Narayanadatta Bhandari, Head of Road Division Office, Dolakha, said that the road has been operational since Monday evening.
