Indian Lok Sabha member Jagdambika Pal has said that the border Badhani market is being developed as a 'Gateway of India' for Nepal. He said that this is the beginning of the development of Badhani Bazar for Nepal in the same way as Mumbai is the 'Gateway of India' for the Arabian Sea.

Inaugurating the construction of four-lane paved road and over bridge bridge in Badhani Bazar at a cost of about one and a half billion bharu, he also said that now India's Badhani Bazar and Nepal's Krishnanagar Bazar will take a leap economically.

Badhni is the only such market in the 1,800 km border between Nepal and India, where the construction of an over bridge with the latest four-lane road has started . "Such a structure has not been built in any other border market," he said. Therefore, it has become a priority of the Indian government.

Krishnanagar is the closest market in Nepal connected to India's national rail network. Badhani railway station is located within 100 meters from here, which is connected to the national rail network of India. Badhani Bazaar is developing gradually and there is a problem when the road is closed for a long time during train traffic, so a flyover bridge is going to be constructed with a four-lane road.

Under the Shravasti-Kushinagar Buddhist circuit road section, a four-lane 1,700 meter high road will be built from west to south of Badhani Bazar. The four-lane 801 meter long overbridge will end near the Nepali border near Gadhi Adarsh Vidyalaya, north east of Badhani.

Uttar Pradesh Government's Public Works Department is going to construct a road at a cost of 352.5 million baht and the Uttar Pradesh Setu Nirman Nigam is going to construct an over bridge at a cost of 1.965 million baht, said engineer Kamlesh Tripathi. This work will be completed in three years.

He said that he is intensively involved in the development of the border market as he is an elected Member of Parliament from this area. He also said that this will not only develop bilateral relations but also open new doors of trade for economic prosperity. "Road connectivity is an important part of economic development," said Abhishek Pratap Shah, a former member of the House of Representatives. You can easily go anywhere in India by train from Badhani.

Now that the bridge is being built, it will make transportation easier, he said. There will be no traffic jams. Nepalis will be able to come and go at home," he said. "Now Nepal-India import and export will be easy. The Indian government has made the railway here a model for the eastern region.

Krishnanagar is one of the 10 biggest customs checkpoints in the country. Phanindra Khatiwada, Chief Customs Officer of Krishnanagar Customs Office, said that the economic activity will be beneficial to the country and the businessmen when the economic activities are going on along with the development in the border area.

Krishnanagar is the main gateway to India in central Nepal. From here along with trains buses, jeeps, vans also go to most of the big cities of India.
