The Nepal Chamber of Commerce has requested the newly appointed Home Minister Omprakash Aryal to provide assurance of security in order to boost the morale of entrepreneurs. A team of officials including Chairman Kamlesh Kumar Aggarwal met with Home Minister Aryal at Singh Darbar on Thursday and made the request.

Chairman of the Chamber Agarwal said that the attack on government and private property during the agitation was tragic and such incidents had a negative impact on the business environment. During the meeting, he said, "The private sector has a great contribution to the overall economic development and job creation of the country, the investment of the private sector in the country is more than 81 percent, the latest developments have raised serious questions about professional security." The chamber has also suggested to Home Minister Aryal to make a special security plan to protect economic infrastructure during natural calamities or chaos. "It is necessary to provide security agencies with training related to financial sector security, digital security and crisis management," said the chamber.

Meanwhile, a team of Nepal Chamber of Commerce office bearers has made an on-site inspection at Bhatbhateni supermarket in Naxal, which was damaged during the agitation. The chamber official team paid a tribute to Bhatbhateni president Meen Bahadur Gurung and expressed deep sorrow over the damage in Bhatbhateni.
