The initial estimate is that the loss of about 36 billion rupees to the industries under Confederation of Nepal Industry (CNI) due to the arson and vandalism during the demonstration of Genji on August 23 and the protest on the 24th. According to CNI, the number and amount of damage is expected to increase as the details of the damage continue to come in and the evaluation work is being done.

It is estimated that around 15,000 jobs have been directly affected due to the damage to those industries operating across the country. Under the confederation, there are 350 small and medium entrepreneur members in the center and there are about 7 thousand members across the country.  During the

exhibition, the hotel and tourism sector, Bhatbhateni Supermarket, Chaudhary Group, Chandragiri Kevalkar, Maulakali Cable Car and other organizations are providing many jobs. During the

movement, many industries and commercial malls were damaged throughout the country, so it can be directly assumed that the number of directly affected jobs will increase. Although the business of the mentioned business houses has been damaged, they have said that the employees will not be fired immediately. Therefore, rather than losing their jobs, it is analyzed here that they will be affected for some time.

About 10,000 employees were working in 28 Bhatbhateni supermarkets across the country. Out of them, 21 were damaged during the protest. In 9 of them, the supermarkets that are now damaged were only vandalized. That supermarket has come into operation. The remaining 12 supermarkets were completely destroyed. They are currently not in operation.

According to the data of the Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN), around 2,000 jobs have been affected after damage was done to the hotel and hospitality sector in Nepal. According to preliminary estimates, about 25 hotels were damaged in the attack and the jobs of 2,000 employees and workers were affected.
