On the first day of weekly trading, the NEPSE fell by 11.52 points on Sunday. After decreasing by 0.42 percent compared to the previous day, the overall NEPSE has closed down at 2,788.25 points. Out of 79 companies that traded on this day, their share prices increased while 173 companies decreased.
In this way, the overall NEPSE has decreased by double digits as the number of companies that have decreased rather than increased in share price. The NEPSE index has been falling since last Tuesday.
On Sunday, 1 crore 11 lakh 24 thousand 845 shares were bought and sold out of 58 thousand 87 transactions. A transaction worth 4 billion 40 million 27 million rupees has been made in those purchases. The turnover has decreased compared to the previous day. Shares worth 5 billion 144 million rupees were traded last Thursday.
Among the 13 sub-groups traded on the day, the indices of finance companies, manufacturing and processing and collective investment funds increased. After the index of all other subgroups decreased, the overall NEPSE pressured to decrease by double digits. On that day, the index of manufacturing and processing sub-group increased by 3.27, finance by 2.39 and collective investment fund by 0.08 points. On that day, the index of life insurance sub-group decreased by 51.64, non-life insurance by 22.86, hydropower by 23.45, business by 9.89 points.
Share price of Himstar Energy rose the most by 9.97 percent on Sunday. The share price of NIBL Samriddhi Fund-2 increased by 5.83%, Universal Power Company by 5.12%, Mega Mutual Fund-1 by 4.69%, and NIBL Growth Fund by 4.15%.
However, shares of Panchkanya Mai Hydro Power fell by 4.62, Vikas Hydropower by 3.92, ICFC Finance Limited Debenture (2083) by 3.88, Sanima Debenture (2089) by 3.88 and Oriental Hotels by 3.70 percent. Based on the transaction amount, shares of Union Hydropower Rs 299.99 million, Nepal Re-Insurance Company Rs 276.4 million, Everest Bank Rs 221.5 million, Himalayan Distillery Rs 165 million and Universal Power Company Rs 130 million were traded on Sunday.
