Rasuwagadhi crossing is now closed as the bridge connecting the crossing was swept away by the flood in Lhende river last June 24. When will the border be operational? The concerned authorities are still ignorant about this. Belibridge should be built on the Lhende River before the crossing can be put into operation. Although China has started the construction of Beili Bridge, the work is not finished yet.

Similarly, due to the floods in Bhotekosi on June 24 and July 14, the Syafruvesi-Rasuwagadhi road has not yet been fully operational. 

Khadgalal Shrestha, head of the Galchi-Trishuli-Mailung-Safrubensi-Rasuwagadhi road planning office, said that the road from Syafruvesi to Timure was put into operation a week ago. "Even though the road was built earlier, there was a problem with the river digging," he said, "Now this is not a problem, the section connecting Timure to Rasuwagadhi is also being put into operation soon." As it is a hard rock, the project said that efforts are being made to dig it out.

"Earlier, there was talk of building a 50-meter bridge over the Lhende river, there was no question of placing a pillar in the middle," he said.

'How many meters are to be built has not been decided yet, our estimate is that it may be 80 to 100 meters long,' he said, 'because the belay bridge can be built in December, it will be difficult to bring the preparations from China.' "If the bridge is not built before Dasin, goods will not come through the crossing," he said, "Our estimate is that it will be completed by Tihar." More than a hundred containers pass through this crossing every day. Now the Rasuwagadhi crossing is blocked. The port, which is crowded with containers and businessmen during the festival, is now deserted.     

Tulsi Prasad Bhattarai, Chief Customs Officer of Rasuwa Customs Office, said that since it will take time to build the bridge over the Lhende River, it is likely that the border crossing will be closed until Tihar. ``During Dasin, clothes enter Nepal through Rasuwagadhi and Tatopani crossings,'' he said. .'' Even though new vehicles were used to enter through this gate during the festival, it is now closed. Although most electric vehicles are imported through this port, now the import from this port is closed.  

"How many auto dealers had bought cars during the festival, but it became impossible to get them through this border," he said. "The target of revenue collection in July and August is 7 billion rupees," he said.
