Exports of plywood, rosin and turpentine oil have increased through Krishnanagar, which is one of the country's 10 largest customs points. In a year, more than 1 billion worth of plywood and more than 750 million worth of ready-made cement have been exported to India through this channel.
In the last fiscal year 2081/82, 1.694 thousand cubic meters worth of 1.14 billion 87 thousand cubic meters of plywood were exported to India. Similarly, in 2080/81, 15 lakh 86 cubic meters of plywood worth 1 billion 48 crore 45 lakh were exported to India.

In the last financial year, 25 thousand 90 tons of cement-making raw material clinker worth 139.8 million worth and 274 thousand liters of turpentine oil worth 52.23 million have been exported. Likewise, 115,000 kilograms of herbs worth 84 lakhs, 2,600 liters of herbal oil worth 387 lakhs and 16,675 wooden shutters worth 212 lakhs have been exported.
India's reputed business house Adani Group has been buying Samrat Cement Industry in Dang since last year. The price of cement in India is 450 INR. When it is taken from Nepal, the price of one bag is 80 to 100 rupees less. BSI is also required for cement. Similarly, during the same period, 1,557 tons of rosin worth 225.4 million rupees were exported to India.
There are 7/8 ply industries in the Chandrauta-Krishnanagar road section of the district. Plywood produced here is consumed more in places like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Jaipur, Bangalore and Uttar Pradesh. Customs officer Lekhnath Bhattarai said that the Nepalese truck from the industry brought it to the border customs post and then turned it over to the Indian truck at the customs yard and took it to India.
