Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Badri Pandey has directed the ministries and subordinate agencies to fully implement the budget for the current financial year.

Addressing the ministerial level development problem solving committee and the progress review meeting of the financial year 2081/82 on Sunday, Minister Pandey emphasized that the plans should be made result-oriented rather than incomplete. He said, "Even if the technical manpower is increased, attention should be paid to the implementation of the budget." When there is an imbalance in the physical and financial progress, the actual situation of the plan cannot be clear, so the plan that seems impossible to implement should be abandoned at the beginning.'

Minister Pandey pointed out that there is a need for strong coordination between the three levels to implement the plans that the ministry has painstakingly prepared. He also warned not to allow the files of the clients to be delayed, to work proactively and to send the staff who are not working effectively. During the

review, Minister Pandey said that there is no possibility of merging Nepal Tourism and Hotel Management Institute (Natham) and Nepal Mountain Academy as their scope of work is different. In the

meeting, reports were presented on budget expenditure status of ministries and subordinate agencies, sixteenth plan and annual performance indicators, projects of national pride, other plans, complaints and grievances, policy and program implementation status, major achievements and problems. The

program was attended by high officials including the secretary and members of the Prime Minister's Office, the Ministry of Finance, and members of the National Planning Commission.

Ministry Secretary Hari Mainali signed a performance agreement with the head of the subordinate agency.
