It is a common question to ask how much interest is earned by keeping money in which bank. For this, you should know the latest interest rate published by the banks on ordinary and fixed deposits.

Banks give different interest rates on both regular and term savings as minimum and maximum.  When ordinary savers go to deposit money in the bank, they get the lowest interest rate . The maximum interest rate published by the banks is not for everyone. Banks offer maximum interest rates only for special types of deposit schemes introduced in the market.  

Looking at the data published by the banks, the decrease in interest rate of deposits did not stop even in August. Similarly, the average minimum for one-year term deposits for August is 3.49 percent and maximum is 3.59 percent . Compared to last July, the interest rate has decreased in August. The average interest rate on the ordinary savings of banks last July was a minimum of 2.77 and a maximum of 3.90 percent.

8 out of 20 commercial banks in operation have reduced the interest rate of personal deposits for one year in August. One has increased the marginal rate while 11 have kept it constant . At the same time, in August, 6 banks have reduced the interest rate of ordinary deposits, while 14 banks have kept it constant .
