The Nepalgunj 10 Night Run, the only night race in Nepal, has also included a relay race this year. This is the second edition of Night Run, which is going to be held for the first time after receiving recognition from the Association of International Marathon and Distance Race (AIIMS), the common organization of world running. A night run will also be conducted on the already certified route by AIIMS.
In the night run, which starts with the lighting of the lamp on the 3rd of October, the men and women open, 5 km boys and girls school level race, 10 km veterans men (age group above 50 years),
5 km veterans women (age group above 45 years) and 10 km mixed relay (group race of four people) have been organized in the night run.
mix relay is going to be used for the first time in Nepal. Race Director Chandra Bahadur Gurung said that schools, colleges, clubs or any organization can form groups of four men and women to compete.
