A cooperation agreement has been signed between Nepal Bankers Association (NBA) and Visa. A cooperation agreement was signed between these agencies during an event organized in Kathmandu on Thursday.

Under the agreement, various programs and activities will be conducted to increase public awareness and capacity related to cyber security in Nepal's financial sector.

Bankers Association has been collaborating with Visa, the leading global digital payment company, for a long time. After the new agreement, various programs will be conducted by Visa with a strategic focus on cyber security,' said Anil Sharma, Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Bankers Association, 'State-level activities and focused interaction programs with stakeholders will be conducted under the joint initiative.' "In order to further strengthen the participation at the state level, various programs will be organized by including representatives of stakeholders, banks and financial institutions and regulatory bodies," the statement said, "Visa officials will also participate in the program." Through which foreign skills, knowledge, technology, and foreign practices can be brought into Nepal.' 

Visa has been serving in more than 200 countries of the world. Technology used in these countries, cyber security and other international practices will be exchanged. Both sides claim that the agreement will contribute to strengthening Nepal's payment system, public awareness and capacity building regarding cyber security.
