Hemraj Dhakal, vice president of Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has been appointed as a member of Nepal Securities Board (SEBON). Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, nominated him as a SEBON member on behalf of the federation.

He was appointed as a member of SEBON in accordance with the provision in Article 3 of the Nepal Securities Act 2063. In the Act, there is a provision that a representative of the Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry shall be a member of the Nepal Securities Board (SEBON). Dhakal will represent the private sector in Sebon. 

After being appointed as a Sebon member, Dhakal said that his priority would be to strengthen cooperation between the private sector and government agencies to develop the capital market as a sustainable source of the national economy.

Similarly, he said that as a member of the board, he will strive for the development of the capital market. Similarly, Dhakal, the newly appointed member, said that he will contribute as much as possible to the policy and institutional initiatives to encourage structural reforms of the stock market, increase transparency, investor protection, market access and long-term investment.
