The government has appointed Ramesh Chaulagai as an expert member of the National Cooperative Regulatory Authority. The Cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to appoint Chaulagai as an expert member. Choulagai is the Deputy Director of Nepal Rastra Bank.
Chaulagai was appointed by the government out of the three recommended by the committee formed under the chairmanship of Public Service Commission Chairman Madhav Regmi for the post of chairman and expert member. There is a program to provide letters to the newly appointed expert members on Tuesday. The
committee had recommended the names of Narayan Prasad Paudel, the former Executive Director of Nepal Rastra Bank and Shahdev Basnet, a lawyer, along with Choulagai as expert members.
The government has already appointed Khagraj Sharma as the chairman of the authority. Now one chartered accountant has to be appointed to complete the board of directors of the authority.
