Tirtharaj Chiluwal has been appointed Director General in Revenue Investigation Department. A director general was appointed on Wednesday after one month of vacancy in the department of investigation, investigation and prosecution related to non-tax revenue leakage.
Newly appointed Director General Chiluwal was previously Deputy Director General in Internal Revenue Department. He has served as Director General of Commerce Department, Director of Revenue Research Department, Head of Itahari Authority, Chief District Officer and others. Director General Chiluwal said that he will use his experience of 17 years in the revenue group in the performance of the department. He mentioned that everyone's cooperation is necessary to prevent revenue leakage. "I won't let it go wrong as long as I can," he said.
The post was vacant after the then Director General Chandi Prasad Ghimire retired on June 15. After the work of the department stopped due to the vacancy, Krishna Kumari Shrestha, the deputy director general of the department, was appointed permanently. Since 2074, the post of Director General has never been vacant for such a long time.
