Commercial banks that have taken permission from the National Bank for operating local level accounts do not need re-approval to operate the bank accounts of committees, boards, funds and other bodies under it.
The National Bank Banking Department has issued a notification and arranged that after obtaining permission to operate local level accounts, no further approval is required to operate the accounts of the subordinate bodies.
"According to Government Transactions Directory 2076 (Second Amendment, 2081), there is a request to operate the accounts of the 'C' group at the local level in commercial bank accounts licensed by this bank as per the decision of the National Bank that no further approval is required to operate the accounts of the 'C-5.2 Local level, committee, board, fund' group," the notification issued by the National Bank said.
