The Nepal Electricity Authority said that the power supply problem seen in the working area of Chanauli distribution center in Chitwan is only technical and work is being done to solve it and regular supply will start within two to three days.
Chanauli distribution center had issued a notice that electricity supply would be cut for 6 hours a day from Sunday, saying that the demand was high due to the heat. Center head Rajkumar Shrestha informed that a total of 6 hours will be reduced by 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours from noon to evening. Electricity is being supplied to West Chitwan and Madi areas from Chanauli distribution center.
"This cannot be called load shedding," said Shrestha. Due to the lack of rain, there was a problem with the line while running the motors. This problem will be resolved soon, the situation will be smooth from Tuesday or Wednesday.
Chanauli distribution center currently has eight feeders, according to which the center had announced the line disruption schedule. In a statement issued on Sunday, the authority said that "load shedding has become history for Nepal" and it is unfair to publish and broadcast exaggerated news in this regard.
"The authority is aware of the confusion created by the schedule published for internal load management for one day," the statement said. According to the authority, the problem occurred due to excessive load on the 33 KV line coming from New Bharatpur (Baseni) substation at Chanauli 33/11 KV substation. Information has been given that necessary technical work is being done to solve the problem.
"To manage the demand of Chanauli area in the long term, the new 33 KV line construction work from Baseni 132 KV substation to Chanauli substation has reached its final stage," the statement said, "We believe that this problem will be solved in the long term after the new line is operational." It has been reported. It has objected that it is misleading and unfair to publicize it under the title of 'load shedding schedule'.
"The mention of load shedding in the main headline of the news is unfortunate and not justified in any way," the statement said, "while in the details of the news, the authority's officials stated that it cannot be called load shedding, and that the problem will be resolved soon."
