Confederation of Nepal Industry has held separate discussions with the former Prime Minister and Chairman of the Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar. In a discussion with the officials led by the newly elected president of the Confederation, Birendra Raj Pandey, former Prime Minister Dahal said that the economy will not be strong unless there is strong cooperation with the private sector.

He said that whether he was the prime minister or not, he gave high priority to private sector issues. He said that the confederation has become a capable organization due to research-based factual suggestions. Pandey, president of the confederation, said that the confederation is going to work with the goal of bringing the size of the country's economy to $100 billion and double-digit economic growth in the next decade.

In order to achieve this goal, Pandey said that the preliminary study showed that 8 areas should be kept at the center, and said that the government and political parties should make legal and policy reforms a top priority. In the discussion with the Minister of Home Affairs, it has been requested to take effective steps to stop the illegal business in the border area .

Pandey, president of the Confederation, said that besides the domestic industries being affected by the illegal business, it also affected the government's revenue. The Home Minister said that the Home Secretary-level meeting of the governments of Nepal and India will discuss measures to stop illegal transactions in the border area. The author said that the ministry is committed to control illegal imports and create an environment for tourists to come easily.
