There was a discussion between Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and the Confederation of Nepal Industry about the need to industrialize the country.

In a discussion with the officials led by the president of the confederation, Birendra Raj Pandey, Prime Minister Oli said that it is necessary to industrialize the country by making it a production hub.

Prime Minister Oli says that instead of making profit by importing goods, attention should be paid to increasing production in the country and exporting. He said that the government is trying to encourage the private sector by making legal and policy reforms.

Pandey, president of the confederation, said that in cooperation with the government, the Made in Nepal Swadeshi campaign is being conducted with the aim of replacing imports. He said that the confederation has set a goal of increasing the size of the country's economy to 100 billion dollars and double-digit economic growth in the next decade, and for this, 8 sectors should be kept in the center, he said.
