On the last trading day of the week, the NEPSE index rose by 25.89 points. It increased by 0.95 percent to 2,731.80 points. A total of 161 companies' share prices increased while 87 companies' prices decreased.
A total of 88 thousand 615 times of buying and selling has been done worth 9 billion 68 million 24 lakh rupees. Compared to Wednesday, the transaction amount has also increased on Thursday. On Wednesday, NEPSE increased by 22.04 points, and the transaction was worth 7.45 billion rupees. Shares worth 9.68 billion 24 lakh rupees were traded on Thursday.
On Thursday, a total of 2 crore 64 lakh 70 thousand 840 shares were bought and sold. Apart from hydropower and trade, the rest of the sub-categories increased on this day. Hydropower has decreased by 7.92 points and trade by 22.48 points. Microfinance sub-group increased by 71.20 points, development bank by 62.62 points, banking by 42.72 points, non-life insurance by 34.97 points. Share price of Maikhola Hydropower increased by 8.15, Mandu Hydropower by 6.76, Samata Home Finance by 6.57, Bhagwati Hydro Development Company by 6.52 and Sanima Bank by 4.80%.
Similarly, the price of Corporate Development 9.92, Rapti Hydro and General Construction 6.47, Sindhu Bikas Bank 4.39, Panchkanya Mai Hydropower 4.35 and Guardian Micro Life Insurance 3.67 percent have decreased.
NRN Infrastructure and Development, Butwal Power Company, Sanima Bank, Saptakoshi Bikas Bank, CEDB Holdings were ahead in terms of turnover. 575 million rupees of NRN Infrastructure and Development, 327 million rupees of Butwal Power Company, 26 million 34 million rupees of Sanima Bank, 19 million 85 million rupees of Saptakoshi Development Bank and 19 million 83 million rupees of CEDB Holdings.
On Thursday, the size of the stock market (total market capitalization) increased by 43 billion 14 billion 45 million rupees due to the increase of NEPSE. The total market capitalization which was 45 trillion 8 billion 42 billion 82 million rupees on Wednesday increased to 45 trillion 51 billion 57 billion rupees on Thursday.
