The Tatopani border crossing from the district to China has now become the gateway for importing helicopters. For the first time, the helicopter brought from China entered Nepal's border market from this point on Thursday.
According to Rajendra Prasad Chudal, head of Tatopani dry port and customs office, the helicopter was brought to Tatopani from the Chinese city on a 40-foot tailor. "Currently, the inspection has not been passed, the necessary customs procedures are going on, the transport was taken over by Ado Transport Company," he said.
According to the customs office, the helicopter purchased by Nepal's Mountain Helicopter Pvt Ltd was unloaded at the passenger branch of Tatopani Customs. According to the company's agreement to bring five helicopters from China, the first unit has entered Nepal.
Surya Kafle, information officer of Tatopani customs, informed that the process of revenue collection has started after assessing the value of the helicopter. It is estimated that the check-pass process will be completed after collecting more than 40 million 12 million revenue. In the next day or two, the technical team will come and check the condition of the helicopter. After that, the helicopter will fly directly to Kathmandu, according to Customs.
A helicopter is kept in the recently constructed open parking area at the customs branch. The technical team of Mountain Helicopter has reached Tatopani and started preparations.
