The Association of Independent Power Producers, Nepal (IPPAN) is going to hold Power Summit 2025 on October 1 and 2. IPPAN is going to organize a two-day power summit with the slogan 'Mission 28500 MW: Powering Nepal, Energizing Region'.

The conference said that the experts and stakeholders of related fields will be gathered in one place and policy debate, achievements and achievements will be exchanged. IPPAN said that the private sector has the responsibility and obligation to achieve the government's goal of producing 28,500 megawatts of electricity by 2035. The

summit will be under the patronage of the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation and the Indian Embassy in Nepal. This Power Summit is the ninth edition after 2006, 2007, 2008, 2012, 2013, 2016, 2019 and 2023. More than 30 countries will participate to support the successful implementation of the Energy Development Roadmap, 2081 and trade/make Nepal's growing production available in the regional market.

IPPA President Ganesh Karki said that the world is also looking at Nepal as a market. "Slowly, the private sector is also participating in the energy business," he said.

Investors, officials of diplomatic and development partner missions, government and non-governmental organizations, universities, friendly countries, national and international consulting companies, construction business companies, banks and financial institutions, insurance companies, and representatives of all concerned agencies, experts, experts, etc. will gather under one roof to discuss policy on various dimensions of energy prosperity.

In particular, green and clean energy availability of Nepal and South Asian countries linked to the implementation of the energy roadmap, development of innovative financing tools along with electricity and carbon trading, ensuring energy security, regional connectivity will be expanded through the construction of international infrastructures. 

Nepal and South Asian countries' goal of net zero emission, addressing regional and international interests such as sustainable and inclusive energy development will be the summit to promote Nepal as a green energy developing country, said IPPAN Vice President Anand Chaudhary. 

The summit will also discuss the experiences and practices of various countries and development partners of the world along with policy making by Nepal and other countries to face challenges such as internal and external infrastructure construction and consumption growth, mitigation of the effects of climate change and reduction of damage caused by natural disasters.
