Nepal Economic Journalists Society (SEJAN) has rejected the grant of one crore rupees allocated by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology for the next financial year.
The SEJAN working committee meeting held on Tuesday decided to reject the operating grant of 1 million rupees allocated to SEJAN in the budget subtitle number 21 of the annual development program of the next financial year 2082/83 by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology.
It is mentioned in Sejan's statement that Sejan did not ask for a budget from the ministry, that the ministry has not yet accepted the grant, that it is against the legacy and institutional originality of his organization, and that they have decided to reject the grant because they want the government to use the funds to meet the basic needs of citizens when there is a lack of resources .
