The NEPSE index, which has been falling for the last three trading days, rose by 26.53 points on the first trading day of the week. NEPSE increased by one point zero 2 percent to 2 thousand 622.28 points. NEPSE was continuously decreasing since last Tuesday. Last Tuesday it was zero.22, on Wednesday it was zero.33 and on Thursday it decreased by 4.45 points.

On Sunday, the price of 185 companies increased while 63 companies decreased. Out of total 13 subgroups, only manufacturing and processing decreased by 39.45 points. All remaining subgroups increased. Life Insurance 103.04, Development Bank 85.39, Microfinance 73.29, Life Insurance 50.03, Other sub-groups increased by 30.63 points. According to NEPSE, 74 thousand 752 shares were traded on this day worth 7 billion 12 billion 17 lakh rupees. 

Compared to last Thursday, the transaction amount on Sunday has decreased. Shares worth 7.78 billion 2 lakh rupees were traded last Thursday. From that, a total of 1 crore 66 lakh 43 thousand 114 shares were bought and sold. 

Saptakoshi Bikas Bank's share price increased by 9.99%, Vindhyavasini Hydropower's 8.97%, Machhapuchhre Bank Debenture 2085's 8.10%, Green Venture's 6.95% and Trishuli Jalvidyut's 5.92%. Share prices of Joshi Hydropower fell by 5.57%, Unilever Nepal by 3.49%, Panchkanya Mai Hydropower by 3.20%, Pure Energy by 3.19% and Butwal Power Company by 3.03%. 

In terms of turnover, Sahash Energy, Butwal Power Company, Union Hydropower, Ngadi Group Power and Radhi Electricity Company were ahead. 5786 million 88 thousand shares of Sahash Energy, 349 million 9962 thousand rupees of Butwal Power Company, 24 million 33 million 86 thousand rupees of Union Hydropower, 23 million 41 million 83 thousand rupees of Ngadi Group Power and 21 million 28 million 14 thousand rupees of Radhi Electricity Company. 

With NEPSE increasing by 26 and a half points, the size of the stock market (total market capitalization) has increased by 44 billion 21 crore 57 lakh rupees. The total market capitalization, which was 43 trillion 24 billion 88 billion rupees last Thursday, has remained at 43 trillion 69 billion 10 billion rupees on Sunday. The total market capitalization is calculated by multiplying the total listed shares by the same day's share price.
