Jut will play a role in managing the World Bank's relationship with Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka. He will oversee a portfolio of $39 billion worth of projects, technical assistance and financial resources allocated to the sector.

Joined the World Bank since 1999, Jut is a Dutch citizen . Previously, he worked as the World Bank's Country Director for Brazil.
