Federation formed to internationalize Nepali water, Chemjong as the president

Nepal Water Industry Federation has been formed to protect the rights and interests of water industry and to internationalize Nepal's water.

With the registration of district administration office in Kathmandu a week ago, the Federation has gained official status. The federation was formed as an umbrella organization of water industry representing all 7 provinces. Bikram Limbu Chemjong has been elected as the president. 

Bharat Budhathoki has been elected as Senior Vice President, Rabindra Mohan Adhikari, Purushottam Pandey, Rupchandra Naulakha, Savi Karki, Bhuvan Lohani, Sahil Sah, Tekendra Singh Kunjeda and Krishna Prasad Acharya have been elected as Vice Presidents.

Dhruva Prasad Adhikari as the general secretary of the federation, Rosa Shrestha as the deputy general secretary, and Devnarayan Choulagai as the treasurer.

Chairman Chemjong said that there will be no room for questioning transparency in the water industry and supply management. He said that initiatives will be taken to create an investment-friendly environment while protecting small industrialists.

Currently, there are more than 700 water producing industries in the country. The federation claims that there is more than 15 billion investment in the water industry.
